Re: I LOVE YOU Ways.....
One way that we say I love you when we get off the phone is ' Love you bye' all in one sentence quick and the other will say Love you bye then hang up. I think it is because I have grown up hearing my mom get off the phone with my relatives and she says 'AH, Bueno bye' real quick. it's funny, guess you had to be there

Re: I LOVE YOU Ways.....
Well im constantly grabbing Jim's butt.
We did not say 'I love you' until after we were married. Ever.
We'd said 'I think youre great' or 'you know.. its things like that, that make me glad you're mine' but NEVER did we use the 'L' word. The first time we really said it was during our vows.
Now we just say it off hand sometimes. Like if I hear something at work that really makes me appreicate being with Jim I come home and say 'I love you babe' and he's like 'oh?' and I tell him what happened.
Usually we just know it. Don't really 'say' it a whole lot. Even now. We show it by taking care of eachother. You know thinking of stuff he/she needs/wants and just doing it. Like I wasnt feeling well so Jim didnt ask me do anything like he normally does, he just got me dinner, re-stocked my tissues and bundled me in bed (tucked me in) he's really sweet and I know he cares.
We just CONSTANTLY think of eachother. I went to a GTG this weekend and we were planning on seeing Hellboy so I made sure to bring home some of my food from our lunch so he could have it. He loves lobster ravioli so I made sure he got some.
It's the things we do, not what we say.

Re: I LOVE YOU Ways.....
We say 'I Love You' a whole lot. And its just as meaningful today as the first time we said it one another. Maybe I'm a sap but I still get a warm and fuzzy feeling inside when he says those three words to me.
We never hang up the phone or send an email to each other without those words being said or typed .. on the rare occassions when he hasn't said it (or vice versa) it bugs me to the point that I'll call back to say it, etc
But other than saying it, when we are around people in public, he'll gently tug on my hair (though it looks like he's brushing the hair off my shoulder..) and I'll rub his wrist .. these have become our secret 'I LOVE YOUs' ..

I know in the past with an ex, we'd always say 8-3-1 or like Ronie said we showed e/o...at times I just feel the 'I love you' becomes just a habit and sort of loses its meaning....
Just wanted to see the special ways you guys show your love or tell your man(Lady) she's the one....

Which is exactly why we wouldn't say it. 'I love you' is just so 'common' these days.. it bothers me. So I told him not to say it.

OMG! I thought we were the only family to do this! It's OUR family's 'secret code' that me and all of my sisters have shared with our husbands! LOL! (except ours is squeezes!)
