Re: I made.....

Can you share your buttermilk pancake recipe? I tried to make the ones from IHOP that I saw on a website but they tasted like flour!

Re: I made.....

mmmm...Dh and I love breakfast foods for dinner as well...

I have found that the best pancakes come from the all in one mixes...I have tried every recipe...and I just can't get them fluffy and the right taste...

Re: I made.....

ok!

BLUEBERRY BUTTERMILK PANCAKES

1C. Flour
2 Tbsp. Cornmeal
1 Tbsp. Sugar
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Baking Soda
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp. Ground Cinnamon
1 Beaten Egg
1C. Buttermilk
2 Tbsp. Cooking Oil
1 C. Blueberries

Mix flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon. Make a little well in the mixture and set aside

Stir together egg, buttermilk and oil. Add that to the dry mixture and stir ONLY until moistened. should be lumpy. Gently fold in blueberries.

Pour about 1/4 c batter onto hot griddle/skillet. Cook over medium for 2 minutes (until golden brown, bubbly surfaces) and flip. Serve warm w. syrup and powdered sugar.

I found the batter a wee bit thick so I added a little milk and they were PERFECT.

Challah Bread French Toast

2 Beaten Eggs
1/2 c. Milk
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Thick'ish' slices of challah (you be the judge)
1 tbsp butter

Beat eggs , milk, vanilla, cinnamon. Dip bread in coating both sides - let soak about 5 seconds each side.

Melt butter in pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Add more butter as needed. I served with syrup, powdered sugar and sliced strawberries
