In a recent thread Shamma96 suggested pushing my soap products and such. Well, since I have alot of time on my hands, this is my new venture and I want to eventually open a store.
I do have a huge fear which is making me sick to my stomach...that I might fail miserably. Plus I have no confidence in myself with this. Which is so stupid because DH believes I can make a go of, so does my dad, MIL and so on an so forth.
I am really scared that I will fail. I know I make a good product, I have repeat customers.
Thank for listning to me vent my fears......

I think you would do great at this. You seem to ahve great ideas, and if everyone else believes in you, go for it.
I wil definitly buy soaps and stuff from you!!
Do you want to open something in a storefront, or just like a mail order website thing?
If you need any help with setting it up, I can help you with financial aspects.

If you don't do it - you will never know! you could take over for Martha while she is in jail! I think you should do it. You have a lot of support from your family - go for it! You have to believe that you won't fail and creat your own future.

Starting your own business is scarey,,,but what an accomplishment...and you never know unless you try. I am sorry, but I am not familiar with what you do and would love to see. I am thinking abuot at some time opening my own personal training/group exercise studio. GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!

jennbaby-I have aa domain name and need to create a site. it will be done in the next two weeks. I also requested to be a vendor here and am awaiting them to call.

I make things such as Body Butters, Lip Balm, Bubble Bath, Bath Oils, Bath Fizzies, Glycerin Soap-grapefruit, cucumber melon, rose garden, peachy keen etc.

I think you should at least try. Make sure your website looks professional and just treat customers well. I am sure you can make a go of it. who cares if you never get 'rich' from it. if you enjoy it and it makes you happy then that is all anyone can really ask for in their job. Good Luck

NOW is the time is to do it- and you will do great- you want to do it when you are young and you have time.. there are so many small business loans out there- and with your talent you will do FAB.. GOOD LUCK & Congrats on a GREAT decision.

Question: If someone becomes a vendor here, does that mean they can no longer participate in the discussion on the non vendor boards?
Ive been thinking of advertising on this site but I dont want to loose the ability to talk to everyone about everyday and wedding stuff if I go that route.
