I made florists appointments.... *Update*
I made appointments for this saturday to see:
Flowers by Brian
Flower Barn
Hidden Essence
The following week I go up to westchester and see:
Mamaroneck Flowers
WESTCHESTER FLORAL DECORATORS
The week after that I see:
Flower Michele
Verbena designs
Did I miss any other florists that you would recommend? Any advice? I am going to bring pictures of flowers I like and my color scheme.

I wanted to give a review of each of the vendors I saw yesterdayn with my BM:
Flower Barn - I met with Mike, one of he owners and he was really nice. I brought bubble bowls with me (my idea is to put sand and shells myself and have flowers on top, as I have a beach theme). He was really helpful with ideas. I got roses, lillies, stephanotis, deepthinimum and hydrangeas for the centerpieces, 3 bouquets and 10 tables. Also inlcuded, is the gazebo, GM flowers and rose petals. I was quoted $1450 because I was LIW if not it would have been $1750. (He also gave us both roses which was a nice touch).
Flowers by Brian - I got there at 1:30 on the dot and I had to wait 30 min before being seen, I got the impression it was a wedding mill and they were churning away at brides (which I dont like). The good thing about them is that you can get any choice of flower you want without extra charges (if you have a specific flower you love and its expensive maybe this is the place for you). For the same quantity I was quoted $1590. Which isnt bad.
Hidden Essence - I met the owner Michelle and I had been communicating with her via FM and sending her pics of the gazebo and mi bowl idea which she thought was great. I was quoted under $1000 for everything and she offers a special touch since she does everything and she only does 1 wedding a day. She is really into what she does and was really helpful with ideas, she personally brings the flowers to you and the groom as well as setting up the gazebo and RH centerpieces. Its almost like having a DOC for flowers. I can see her really pulling off my vision. Also, since she does her work at home she doesnt have overhead of a store to worry about. I really liked michelle and would recommend people to check her out if you arent looking for anything toooooo crazy or expensive.
I have 4 more to go and see.......
Wish me luck
