I made our card box! CHECK! With pics!

i think its great! but of course i always analyze things... will guests be opening the door on it and placing inside? if so, that would concern me, bc its very easy to open and take a few cards without people noticing... also will it be big enough to fit all cards? i dunno how many guests your having... but my cousin had something similiar in size and for 170ish people i think, the father had to go to the box every so often and make sure to shove the cards in

I will be leaving the mailbox door open. Also, I am not inviting anyone to my wedding who I believe would steal one of our cards. That would be awful!

We are inviting 140 people, and the mailbox is a full size mailbox, so I have no worries that all of the cards will not fit.

well not only guests who may steal, but also people from other parties... outsiders who just dress up and come in... its pretty easy to do... i still dunno why anyone would even put cash in an envelope though... i always give checks... just something to think about i guess...

I was thinking about the door open thing too! I would never have thought that people would give cash. I was in a wedding where at the end of the night the bride started opening the envelopes so she could tip vendors. I was totally surprised that there was cash in the envelopes. I haven't really thought about doing a card box. I was thinking about going the old fashioned way with the money bag. This is definitely too cute and usable.

This is awful, but I have heard about the staff stealing all the money and gifts.

Wow! I didn't even think about staff stealing the cards! That would be horrible!!

Hopefully that will not happen. Maybe I will assign someone to watch the card box throughout the evening...haha
