I may be asking for too much here but…

Can anyone recommend a restaurant or catering hall for a Sunday afternoon/evening bridal shower that can hold approx 40 people? The asking for too much part is I’m really looking to spend between $25-50 a plate and looking for lots of good food to be served.

People are telling me I can never find a place for that cheap. Please help & recommend!!! This is the first bridal shower party I’m throwing and I really want to make a good impression.

East Meadow might be a stretch for you, but call Villa Della Nonna and ask to speak to Hector. I just had my e party there on the 20th of May and it was amazing!! People are still talking about the food (i know everyone says that, but seriously--i think about 5-6 couples have gone there since and it's only been about 4 weeks lol)...they have a private room above the main room and it is great..the food is outstanding.

I had my FDIL's bridal shower on a Sunday afternoon at Villa Russo's in Richmond Hill and they did a wonderful job. Good service, the food was great and they decorated so very, very pretty. Also the price is within your limits.

I hosted a shower for a friend at John Harvards in Centreach in 2005. The food was great and it was under $20. They also let us bring in our own cake and cookies and didn't charge a serving fee.

Galaxie Caterers in Lindenhurst. The food is great! They have a few rooms, I'm sure one of the smaller rooms can be used for a party of 40.

My shower was at the Davenport Press. I have no idea what it cost, but it was 3 courses with great food and a delicious cake (also included wine and champagne punch). I don't think it was more than $50pp at all, though.
