I may have found my dress!

FH ended up coming with me to try on dresses today and I think I might have found my wedding dress.....I got such a weird feeling while it was on me and I almost started crying but I kept the tears in I put it on twice and I did not want to take it off - so I have a feeling that it is the one......The first dress I tried on we both really liked - it was the only dress I picked that was a different style than the ones I liked in magazines. It was a sweetheart neckline with a trumpet style bottom and it was made by Moonlight. I kept comparing every dress to it.....and FH kept saying - nope I liked the first dress better It was weird because everything else I picked to try were dresses that I LOVED in pictures - a lot of lace dresses with sashes with a-line bottoms. Neither me or FH liked them so after trying on a lot of that style I got dressed and decided to start picking different things. The last dress I tried on ended up being the 'one'. Its actually a Demetrios - which is so funny because their dresses never caught my eye when looking online. The dress is exactley what I wanted to spend which is even better!! I felt so pretty in it and I could see myself wearing it. I felt like a bride while it was on and as soon as I saw myself in it I asked the girl to bring me a veil to put on . I attached a picture - but it looked so much different on me in person. The one thing I wanted to change was the neckline - I pulled it down to a sweetheart and it looked amazing. So the bridal salon is contacting Demetrios to see if it can be changed. I'm going to try it on again with FSIL next weekend - I will try to get a picture of it then.....I am so glad that I bought FH with me. It was fun and we enjoyed ourselves. He loved it - and if I do get this dress - he will still be a little surprised - since the neckline will be changed and the dress will actually fit me perfectly

You girls were right about dress shopping. I had nothing to worry about! It was a lot of fun! Thanks for all of your help and comments <3

WOW that dress is stunning, you are going to look amazing in it, and the whole sweatheart thing will be perfect! I can't believe FH went with you, did he see the dress???

yes he saw it. its so funny because there were a few dresses that were definitley NO's - but it was kind of hard to tell if i liked a dress or loved it - because a lot of the dresses looked alright on me - they didnt look bad and they looked pretty but i just didnt see myself wearing it. so i kept thinking that it was going to be hard to know which dress i really liked. we kept comparing everything to the first dress i tried on because we both really liked that one. but then i came out in the demetrios dress. FH would see a dress and right away before i finished walking out of the dressing room he'd either say its alright or he'd say NO - its ugly and laugh at me.....but when i came out he didnt really say anything he was just starting at me.....i looked in the mirror and i just felt so pretty in it - afterwards he told me that the dress had to be the one because he said that i had a look in my eyes and he could see it in my face how much i liked it. i even felt like i was acting a little doofy while i was wearing it i did not want to take it off and i felt like a bride in it. the girl left us alone for a minute so i kept saying silly things like - okay imagine its time for our first dance and i was pretending to walk down the aisle....he was like wow this is blowing my mind right now....we were having a really good time.... after we left we were both so giddy and nervous we bought cigarettes and smoked

when you think you found your dress did you keep looking? or did you stop? i only tried on about 20 dresses and this was the only dress in that style that i tried....i dont know if i should look around some more

Its funny how THE ONE is a dress style you never thought of wearing before! haha i think it is like that with everyone!!!

Glad you brought FH with you sounds like you 2 had a good time!!

thanks ladies - you were all so helpful everytime i had quesions or was nervous about dress shopping.

i think that i will think about it for awhile - im going to go back and try it on again next weekend so my FSIL can see it. hopefully after a week of thinking about it and trying it on again i will be able to know for sure if i still love it. I think I will because I thought about it all day and night yesterday.

Congrats Nicole! It's a gorgeous dress and I love, love, love the waistline!! My dress has a belt and a little brooch on it so it's similar in a way. Love it!

FH kept asking me how im going to wear my hair with it - and he kept saying that he thinks i should wear it up - i said knock it off - you already know too much - i am not telling you anything else about what kind of veil or how im wearing my hair i told him he only gets a sneak peek of the dress only! hahahaha!

Yay!! I'm so glad you took FH and you had a great time!!!! I only tried on about 10 dresses and I knew that if I liked something I was going to buy it. I'd say think about it until you go with FSIL and then get it!!!!!!
