All my invites have been sent and all RSVPs have been received. I sent invites to people I have corresponded with in the last few years even if i haven't seen them, including family...well, I my aunt is coming, my 2 girls cousins I sent invites to, and my other cousin (son of the aunt and sibling to the 2 other cousins) emailed me today letting me know he and his wife cannot make the wedding. I never sent him an invite and now i feel like sh*t.... was this email from him a 'dig' or sincere? I think it was a 'dig' and I emailed him back telling him it was MY FAULT and it was an oversight that Idid not send him an invite since I was in charge of the list. Honestly, I kept on telling myself I had to send him an invitation, and never did!! I really do feel like crap! And if I sent an invite now, how would that look???? Also, I haven't spoken to him in YEARS....Is this a big deal?

Re: I messed up???
Don't send him an invite now, that looks a lil strange. He told you he can't come so I guess just go with it. Sorry I am of no help.

Re: I messed up???
I would say that since he emailed you it is a dig. I wouldn't send out an inviation blindly though if you honestly forgot to send one. I would call on the phone and let him hear the sincerity in your voice. If you neglected to send an invite purposely, don't worry about it.

Re: I messed up???
I'm sure he did feel bad but that was nasty of him to do that. How was he to know that maybe the invite got lost in the mail or something. Either way I would call him tell him your sorry and you would love them to come (even though they have already declined) and you hope there are no hard feelings and thats that DO NOT feel like sh!t about it we are human we make mistakes. I'm surprised you didn't hear through your family grapevine that he didn't get one.

How rude, I wouldn't have the nerve. This just happened to me too. I wasn't invited, but others were in my family, but I just chalked it up to oversight or budget.

Re: I messed up???
dont send him an invite. i would call him and tell him that you are sorry for the oversight and it was an honest mistake, and extend the invitation to him and his wife, verbally.

Re: I messed up???
Update,
I emailed him and said I was at fault, blah blah, and he emailed me back and he said that I DID send them an invitation, well, I don't have him on my spreadsheet, so I am not going to worry or get upset,
once again, thanks ladies!

Don't send one. It's sneaky - But if he ever says anything about in the future about not getting one, you can always say you sent one. You are none the wiser since he called and said he couldn't come. How would you know it got 'lost' in the mail since he called....

Why can't you reply and express surprise that he did not receive your invitation. Despite what he might think, the USPS does actually los an item or two annually?
