I met one of my most FAVORITEST TV STARS!!

I went walking to chinatown for lunch and on the way back I was walking through Foley Square in front of the court house. they were filming an episode of the original Law & Order (if you don't know where I am talking about and watch the show the courthouse is the steps they always walk down)

so anyway they wrapped the scene and I approached SAM WATERSTON!!! I told him how much I love the show and watch all the episodes and the repeats on TNT every day...he was really sweet! he was kindly looking at me bemusedly and shook my hand and said thank you. I really don't know what else he said b/c I was speaking so quickly but I was just so excited...I really LOVE that show and he is just the best!!! the only thing that would have made it better is Jerry Orbach ( ) or Benjamin Bratt ( )

OMG I love him too! I have seen all the Law & Orders ever - the original and SVU (not so much CI). He is awesome - I love him on the show. I agree about Orbach and Bratt though - they were my all time favs. Also love Meloni on SVU

it was so silly- my heart was pounding I was stammering...I think that's why he was so amused with me...I mean he's well into his 60's- may not get that as much anymore!!

I went to the set of L&O, the second or third season to watch a taping with my mock trial team in high school. Jerry Orbach was there and he hung with us all day...Chris Noth just came by and was like Hi , but Lenny Briscoe...he was awesome...stayed with us for hours. one of my most favorite high school memories...

I really miss him on the show and his signature 'wisecrack' Dennis Farina's tough guy role just isn't the same.
