Last night I met with Duet and Thomas Paul. Thomas Paul definately has a different style of photographing but does amazing work. Duet has excellent work as well and their package deal was great. Does anyone have any input on them as far as having pictures taken by them and everything? Are they easy to work with? Did pictures get back to you in a decent amount of time? TIA

I had the total opposite situation with Duet. I also met with them in the middle of the day when there was nothing else going on. THere is a slight language barrier but they were awesome to meet with and their photos blew me away. My sister has to hire photographers for work and she said they have better photos than most she sees at work.
Just give it a lot of thought because you have to be happy with the pics as that is what is going to be the lasting memories. Everyone on here will have a good or bad opinion on a vendor. Go with your gut and you will most likely be very happy.

we went with Duet. When we got there, there was another couple there still working with Eric, so we waited about an hour, but I felt that every person looking into vendors deserves as much time as they need to make sure that they are the right one. We passed the time looking at the photographer albums so we could get an idea of whether we liked their style
When they were able to meet with us, Eric was very apologetic at the time that we had had to wait and was very attentive. He answered all of our questions, went over any concerns, and threw in things like an engagement shoot and an extra 2 hours with the videographer.
I had called TP, and actually have refferred him to a friend of mine, but his picture style is not what we were looking for (I am not a fan of the photo shopped pictures, I know he only does a few of them, but they seem to be the signature), and for the cost I felt Duet was a better option.
This is just my opinion, as I said I referred a friend to TP, who booked him and is absolutely in LOVE with him and his style and cannot wait to do her engagement pictures, but for the money and style our choice was Duet

I booked Duet. I never met with Thomas Paul but I just look through his web site. His pics are amazing but I think his style is very different from Duet. Well...,so far I'm very happy with Duet and I agree! Go with your gut and you will most likely be VERY HAPPY!!

Duet did my E-PICS (Jay & Danny) and they did a great job! I got them back withing 2 weeks. PICS in my community album

Duet!! They have talent and they were very attentive during our meeting...I was running late and they even stayed open for me....I wanted to meet with Thomas Paul but they didn't have anything available until two months later...and he gave me a quote over the phone and their prices were a bit too high for me...

I am still undecided!!! It's so hard! I might go with TP because FH really likes his style and I am very indecisive. I think i need a few more days!

I met with both of them and I booked with TP!!!! I love Duets work but I fell in love with TP's work r and I love his personality!!!
We booked TP. I know he will do everything we want and he needs to do to capture our day.

I just met with Dan Wagner last night and I was absolutely blown away by him. He let me look through at least seven different albums and did not try to sell anything. He has a passion for his work and I loved that. He was very kind and patient, we were there for an hour and ten minutes! His prices were reasonable and his work was absolutely amazing. I can't find a bad review about him!

I would think about it as much as possible. You dont want to just pick one and then later realize you made a mistake.

I met with both photographers. I ended up going with Duet - I booked in the city and I met with James and he answered all my questions was extremely nice and had a lot of patience. Hope that helps !! My epics are in my album

We booked Duet but I knew I was booking Duet before we got to the appointment so it didnt really matter how they treated us at the appointment.
I feel TP makes his pictures look very magical with photoshopped effects and thats nice for some but just not the look I was going for.

Ok, here is my advice:
When you met with the photographers, who did you feel you had a better connection with? You are going to spending your entire wedding day with the photographer so it needs to be someone you feel you could get along with. If you have any hesitation at all about either one, don't go with them because it could lead to a lot of stress later on.
As to the bad review, I have seen bad reviews about EVERY SINGLE vendor on here and some of these vendors are amazing. You just have to take into account that some people are major bridezillas and no matter what, they will never be happy. If a vendor has tons of amazing reviews and then one bad one, I wouldn't really worry about it.
