i missed the ups guy

I have my shoes sitting in a box on my desk ready to go. I told our normal ups driver (joe) yesterday that I would have them to go today...
well nobody came in this morning, meaning we didn't have any deliveries.

so I go out back for my cig break and I'm talking to FH... I see the substitute ups guy at the bay doors two units over. so I'm like 'okay, he'll drive past me so I'll flag him down and tell him to take it off my desk'...
nope, he turned around and went out the other side (I'm at the right end, he went out the left)
so fh tells me to put out my cig and go to the front and catch him.


i really didn't want to- i NEEDED my cig! its been a long and crazy day.

but I toss it, not even half way done.
I run to the front- just to be asked a question for the fourth time (same question, different wording)...
finish up with that, grab the package, go to the front door....

bye bye mr ups man. he pulled out of the lot and onto the service road of the lie.

so now i'm craving a cig and i still have these shoes sitting here MOCKING ME!
