If you are planning to wed anywhere within the five boroughs of New York City, you should ask the person who is performing your Marriage Ceremony if they have registered.
The registration requirement does not apply to Marriage Ceremonies performed anywhere else in the State of New York.


Ok so this mean's that FH's aunt does NOT have to be registered to marry us since we are getting married in LI right

Well, by definition you would be right.

Just be careful that LI is not 'considered' a borough. I would say call the city hall of the town you are getting married at just to make sure.
