I had my final fitting yesterday, and it turns out that my corset actually sticks out of the top of my dress by about an inch and a half!
Does anyone know a dressmaker who can alter a (victorian-style, lace-up) corset in under a week???

I hate to say it but I would go to mary's and try to get a new corset. Honestly by the time you spend money on getting it altered it will probably cost less to buy a new one and it might not even be altered right and might still show - mary will alter bra's and corsets that are bought there if it isn't right I bet they could fix it for you so that it would be perfect.

You could try Rosalba in Kings Park. I don't have her # handy, but she is listed as 'Rosalba's Alterations' in the phone book.
There is also Karin Yvgensdotter in Astoria, but she will probably charge you an arm and a leg.
