I need a few suggestions for where to have my husbands 30th birthday party?
Hello one and all, I need some ideas of where to have my husbands 30th birthday party, we live in Nassau County and I would like to have the party somewhere in Nassau. The party would be next January ( I know I am planning early), It will be for about 75 people and I would like to have a dj and open bar and I am not sure if I should have a sit down or a buffet. I am debating about having it at a resteraunt or catering hall or possibly a knights of columbus does anyone have any suggestions as well as some prices for any of these types of places? I would really appreciate it! Thanks ladies

Omg! My DH will be 30 next January too! How funny is that! I guess you can do it at Knights of Columbus if you're limited. Supposively, Dh says the one in Oceanside is very nice and big. As far as a DJ, I used Tommy's Tunes for my wedding and they have inexpensive packages for 'parties...anniversaries, ect' FM if you want prices. There is also a 2006 (I believe) Could be 2007 bride, whose brother just opened up a DJ busines. I just can't think of her name. I was going to do a big thing for my DH for the big 30, maybe in a restaurant, or a house party, but he said no, and would rather try and go away to FLA for a few nihhts to visit family and go to disney! [love disney!] Aside from that, my parents will be married 30 yrs in sept and I wanted to do a separate restaurant type thing for them... However, another GREAT PLACE, like a restaurant . . . if they closr the whole restraunt down to you - Nick Dianeglos . I had my Bridal shower there. It's im Merrick, but I believe they have a long beach location. It's italian and the food is delicious. I also love the Lucky Duck, its in garden city & it's italian, we had out RD there, but there are no seperate rooms, they block off a section for private parties. you can pro0bably get both places for a sit down dinner for about $30 something a plate. Nick D'iangelos, high $30's, Lucky Duck, maybe low $30's! My friend works at the Lucky Duck and if your really interested, I can call her and find out what the going rate is for that!
HTH!

My parents and brother threw me a 30th Birthday party at Mulcahy'sin Wantagh. It was so fun. They have a private room upstaitrs..open bar and the food was great. Best of all after the party like 10 oclock we all got to go downstairs and watch the band and dance. The catering manager even bought us our first round of drinks. I would definitely recommend it. Hope this helps.

Okay this isnt in nassau, but I threw my parents a 25th wedding anniversary party at the Bulldog Grille in Amityville. Its right on Merrick Road so its not far from Nassau county about 2 minutes past rte 110 on Merrick Rd. It was a great party and open bar and they had an upstairs room to have the party. I highly recommend that place for any type of evening party. Theres also an outdoor balcony where people can go and smoke or get some air without having to go downstairs.
