I know I should post this in the StoryBoard forum, but since NWR gets more traffic I have opted to post here. Plus I have read most of the books listed in the StoryBoard forum.
Any suggestions???

Good as in, Memoirs of a Geisha (heavy) or good as in Plum Island (light, LOL)?

Re: I need a good train book...
Have you read any of David Sedaris' books - Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, etc? They're memoirs but absolutely hilarious.

Anything by Anna Maxted or Marian Keyes! Funny, romantic, but not in the Danielle-Steel kind of way. More urban, modern, chick-lit kind of stuff.

Well, for my train ride I like fun cutesy books like Shopaholic's or The Devil Wears Prada, or Bookends. Those I enjoy reading.

Re: I need a good train book...
from bn.com:
Unavailable in paperback for over fifteen years b/c it was considered a 'dirty book'!!, Jacqueline Susann's sensational story of three pill-popping, Gucci-clad show-biz women (whom she modeled after Judy Garland, Grace Kelly, and Marilyn Monroe) is back!
NYC, fashion, pill-poppers, suicide, love, divorce, friendship...it has it all! LOL
It was made into a movie as well...

Re: I need a good train book...
Ok, read running in heads, don't think I read between friends, and Colleen, that description sounds really familiar, but I will take a look at it in the book store. I have read so many books they are all meshing together.
Thanks girls!!!

NP Kim...I'm the same way with books - I am stumped on suggestions for you.
You can't miss the book - it's bright, bubble-gum pink.

If you like the show CSI, their are 3 books out. They are really good. I enjoyed them.
Among the hero's is good, but a little tear jerker. Its about the passengers on the plane that crashed in PA.
Report from Ground Zero: the story of the rescue efforts at the WTC. Its by Dennis Smith. Unbelievable. IMO one of the best books I ever read.
The house of Gucci is good. Its about the history of Gucci. Money, mayhem and murder. Its really good
