Since we are paying for ourselves we need a hall that can put like 150 - 175 peoples in long island or queens. Maybe about $100 or less a plate. pictures would also be good. something modern looking.

Check out the Manor East . They are in your price range. For that amount of people, you will have this room and cocktail hour can be in here

Jericho Terrace Floral terrace not sure of $$ but they are modern and you can probably get a better deal if you do it on a friday or a sunday or say the wed before thanksgiving or july 3rd.

I would also try Leonards of Great Neck and the Swan Club
Timber Point Country Club It's a love it or hate it. The website is old so here are som pics its in a 100 yr old mansion on a golf course overlooking the great south bay. I have no pics of the windows but there is a patio (being re-done this spring) for the c-tail hr.
not sure about $$ but maybe Swan Club, The George Washington Manor or Leonards of Great Neck.

Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst is very reasonable and really nice! They are currently rennovating so there isn't much to see but the website is Chateau La Mer . I am going to bring my camera when I go to make my payment this month so if you'd like me to send pix then just let me know! :)

Watermill is nice..heres the room we got that you be in..is in your price range for dates other then summer months... Not sure what you mean by modern?
