YES! I started to shoot pool after HS (cuz i was in a rut) then I began hiking.....now I am looking into boxing classes.
I used to love to travel as my hobby, but it has become a hassle these days
And then of course there is always LIW

I know exactly what you mean about needing a hobby!
I started to learn how to crochet - but I am not very good to I gave up haha I also started to learn how to golf. I am thinking about maybe taking a language class or some other adult ed. course to pass the time.

Re: i need a hobby..
I learned to knit, and knit everyone in my family scarves...I also went back to school and finished my Master's part-time while working, to meet new people and get another degree under my belt (just finished up in May, and met some great people along the way). FH and I also walk dogs for our local animal shelter once or twice a week....It is really rewarding, and they love any attention you can give. I taught myself web site design, and for a while kept up my own web site, but since the wedding planning started I haven't had much time to work on that...

Look at continuing ed listings for local high schools and colleges. I have seen art, photography, writing, craft, language and cooking classes listed and many others.
What sort of things do you like to do? Are you crafty or artistic? Do you like sports? Find groups or people that are geared towards that and you will find oodles of info and opportunities to meet people with similar interests.

I agree with Christine. Continuing Ed classes can be very reasonably priced! There's always reading some good books too. :o)
