I use HSBC and Citibank, although I want to switch everything over to Citibank in the future

Don't do WaMu.. FH has it and he hates it... They double charge you if you dont use their ATMS!!!

Bethpage Federal Credit Union (they're all over the Island not just in Bethpage)

I have Washington Mutual and I always have problems. They charge me for an overdraft and the charge wasn't my fault.

yea I have heard so many probs with them... Good thing you're getting out before it gets any worse!!!

ING Direct !!!!! great saving & checking acct. rates. And most of us need to save every dime.

I have a savings acct with HSBC giving me a 5.05% apr... Its an online only acct which cuts out the middle man so they can afford to give you a higher rate

do NOT use HSBC... i had $1,800 stolen from me and they shrugged it off and told me it wasnt their problem..

so i switched to Bank of America... which is awesome because before i had checking and savings accounts with them, i had a credit card with them.. .and the same person that stole the $1,800 from me stole my credit card, but BOA notified me right away that there was a purchase that seemed like fraud.

i LOVE bank of america, and couldnt be happier with it.

I love love love love, Citibank and ive had every bank there is possible..... they are the only bank that I have no issues and no unnneccesary fee's.
try them out even FH switched over and he loves them too

I had the same problem with them and Citibank has a 5% interest savings online account that you still have access to all your money on your ATM card unlike ING

I was thinkin of switchin over to citibank just because my CC is through them too

I was in banking for 6 1/2 years I worked for Astoria Federal Savings. I switched to Chase they are everywhere and it is free with direct deposit. You cannot beat that. You never have to worry about atm fees because there is a chase everywhere.

Commerce Bank is the only bank I've ever had with no problems...I had Wamu, Chase, North Fork, Greenpoint, Astoria Federal Savings.... And commerce is the only one that I actually like banking with!!!

P.S.- All 7 eleven ATM's are Citibank also
