I am making the votive placecards but I dont want people to pick them up until they go into the reception.....I think I should do a lil sign with a cute saying or poem to tell the guests not to take them. Any ideas???

I definitely don't want mine to be a Dr. Seuss wedding. lol Just thought I'd pass it along for brides to keep in mind that not EVERYTHING has to be a poem. But, to each, her own!

I'm definitely in the no or as few poems as possible camp... but I actually think a little poem there would be cute, and I love the one suggested.
However, if there are lots of other poems at the wedding, I might just put up a nice sign that's not a poem.

AHHHH i loved mine!! its a lil long but i typed it in pretty font and framed it!! it says:
Thank you for coming And sharing in our special day! We made you these candles To help show you the way.
Don’t touch them yet! Please let them cool down Have something to eat And drink a few rounds.
When you are ready Please come find your names And relight your candles With one of these flames.
Set them neatly on your table In the beautiful Manor Room Where you will be seated To await the bride and the groom!

what i did was...have them lit as people entered the CH....then had the maitre d blow them out...then upon entering the ballroom, i had a table set up with beautiful long tapered candles, for people to relight theirs with, so my place cards acted as decor in my reception room with the flowers on the table it was BEAUTIFUL, the whole room was filled with candlelight!!
