this stinks.......i sent my resume out to several school districts for a summer school position and got nothing......i took last summer off b/c i was burnt after teaching 3 years straight.....wanted to work this summer b/c next summer we'll be on our honeymoon for half of july......anyone know of a summer school position in science thats open???? nassau county only

yea, but the only summer positions posted on there are special ed or summer school psychologist type stuff.........gettin a summer position is like a mystery theres never any postings.....you have to know people to get one

Are you sure the summer positions have already been filled? I work in Queens but every summer I dont get the letter until literally the last week of school. There's still time.
What about a summer camp if you can't find a teaching job? I'm sure the money wont be as good as teaching but it's something.

do you have a permanent position in a district? whenever i've done summer school, it's generally been through an in-house posting. send resumes to boces--they handle summer school for a lot of districts.
