I need a thread on Riviera in Massapequa

I am going to look at the Riviera on Saturday.... can anyone provide some feed back?

I used to live right around the block from the riviera. Its a really nice catering hall and they have yummy food there. Its got an old fashioned feel to it, really cozy. Not for big weddings though. You can comfortably fit 125-150 people. Hope this helps!!

They definitely have one of the nicest bridal suites I've seen. it's on the 2nd floor and you can look out onto the ballroom. It's huge and there's a patio outside with a spiral staircase down to the front entrance. From what I remember, their menu was not as elaborate as some of the other places we looked at but they seemed willing to add specific dishes if we asked. It's really a lovely place.

I'm not sure what info you are looking for, but like Diva mentioned too large a guest list would be overcrowded there. I love that it's right on the water and only 1 affair at a time. They also recently upgraded their menu selections. I've been dealing with Michelle (Banquet Manager) and she is a real sweetheart. In case you haven't seen their updated website I've provided a link for you.

Good luck with your planning.

My reception will be therethere next November 12th. The place is beautiful! I've met with Michelle, but did all the booking with Vicki. They are both wonderful! I am so excited it is there. If you need any info, FM me! :)

I was hoping my guest list would top out at 120, but we're up to 163. Just curious, were you squished with 180 there? I'm getting nervous!!!

What they do with a larger guestlist is put tables on the dance floor area so the dance floor becomes smaller.

i had about 145 and still had the tables on the dance floor so nobody was in the way back and the dance floor is still huge with the tables there. michelle actually recommended it bc she said if there are no tables on the dance floor it can look a little empty even if everyone is dancing.
