I need advice...

I need advice...

So I have kind of put myself into a bit of a situation here... Long story short, my wedding dress is a bit too tight for me. I wont get into details as to how that happened because that is a whole long story in itself..The last time I tried it on, I could zip it up but I literally felt like I was going to pass out.. I would love to just lose the 5-10 lbs and be fine than have to spend the money to have the dress taken out but I just CAN'T motivate myself.. I was doing weight watchers and I had lost 4 lbs but then I gained 2.5 back for no reason at all and after that I completely gave up! I probably gained everything back and then some. I have just been under so much stress with everything that is going on and I don't even feel like getting married...Ever since I lost my stepfather I can't bring myself to care about the wedding.. On top of that, I am gaining weight by the second, my face has become a nightmare of breakouts from stress and my hair is starting to fall out! I don't feel very beautiful or bride-like at ALL and I don't know what to do! Is there any advice anyone could offer???

Thank you.. I know if anyone can help me out it's you girls!

I think first and foremost you need to try and de-stress..I know thats easier said than done but you should try to do things that make you happy and calm...maybe even treat yourself to a massage or acupuncture. I go to acupuncture all the time for anxiety and I tell you it works wonders... I swear im an entirely different person. You should also force yourself to work out because that does help reduce stress. On top of that just try and stay focused on eating healthy and staying positive. I hope everything works out for you!! I know losing your stepfather was so hard but try no to let that get in the way of your wedding (again easier said than done)..but.. He would want you to be excited and want you to have the time of your life.. try to remember that.

Tons of hugs for you!

Your stressed!!! And you sound similar to me... I'm breaking out, my hair has really thinned out. My DR put me on xanax for when I feel 'overwhelmed' which helps alot and allows me to actually get my mind straight and address things. She told me alot of Brides to be go through this and its common.

As for the weight.. Do you drink soda? I know cutting that out completely does wonders. Maybe' also going for walks, or take up a dance class. You can easily loose 5-10 lbs doing that. First you have to address yourself and find a way to relax.. Then you can work on your weight if you even still need it at that point. Less stress with deff cause lbs to shed too.

I swear I should be the spokes person for xanax My dr was really on point with telling me it will help.. I should now invite her to my wedding..

Okay so as far as the stress goes not much I can give you, I just hit less than 2 months and the breakouts are a mess, and the stress gets worse!!! I am wroking on that as we speak. Not gonna lie. As far as the weight goes, I speak with truth. I have lost 15 poounds since january. Atleast 64 oz of water a day thats it no other beverages.( Thats 2 seltzer bottles worth) anything extra will help you skin hydrate and clear up with less breakouts. No eating after 7 weekdays. Weekends you are entitled to cheat. Really I don't exercise, I just changed my eating habits. Fruit, SPK bars 90 calories for BFAST, granola, whole wheat sandwiches, for lunch or a salad and a hearty dinner. Basically you need to change your metabolism. Eat throughout the day but healthy( fruits, veggies etc) keep your calorie intake lower and this way dinner could be a really nice meal. Biggest thing NO FAST FOOD!!!! Hope this helps and really drink lots and lots of water!

Re: I need advice...

I don't know what real advice I can offer, but I can offer hugs

Is there any way that you can take time off from work? I was pretty ill for a long time, and I'm still not 100%, and my doctor told me the only thing that was going to help was to take time off to rest. Unfortunately, the only time I was able to take was a few days in between xmas and new years, so it was hardly restful. But if you can manage to take a few days off, and get a solid 5 days of just 12 hours of sleep...I promise you'll feel better. Sometimes, you just need to recharge your batteries. While it might not help with any weight issues, it will help with the stress levels, which can cause the hair loss and the breakouts, and I speak from experience, because the same things happen to me.

I can only imagine what you're feeling with your recent loss...but just try to take it one day at a time with yourself, and get yourself better. Maybe try to get a massage or something too. And if you need anything, we're all here for you.

Re: I need advice...

i'm sorry you're going through all this!!

first of all:

also: in terms of weight loss, i KNOW how hard it is! what it comes down to is that your wedding isn't motivating, because you have so many other things on your mind, food is the easy escape, the perfect band aid, and sometimes, the evil enemy. WW is great with their points, etc. I've done the points, but i stick to a calorie system. i don't know how tall you are or your body type, etc, but if you figure out what you require a day, and never eat more than that, you can't gain weight. i'm a math girl, so i like even numbers! also, i don't eat red meat, any white flour products, and i snack on veggies and things like hummus and greek yogurt (high in protein, low on carbs and fat) and never eat past 6pm (if i can help it)

lastly: i'm so sorry for your loss. i can't imagine how hard that is. and that is just enough to make you feel everything 100x as hard/much. try to maybe do something everyday, even if it's only for 15 minutes, like a deep breathing, sitting in silence meditation. i do that at night, a lot of nights anyway... it helps to calm my mind and clear my thoughts. you will be alright and you'll get through all of this. i send you lots of 's !!

Re: I need advice...

Hi Nicole You are beautiful do not worry every thing will work out. One thing I want to point out that I may be wrong about is the possibility that your thyroid may be off it causes unexplained weight gain, hair loss and fatigue....Just a thought maybe you should get it checked out. Also the stress that yoou are going through is def the likely cause but it may be worth checking into the thyroid. I know we have talked about this before but I cant motivate myself either its driving me crazy try to drink LOTS of water and eat only healthy things limit your carbs and sugar and def dontdrink soda diet either. Just remember no matter what you will be abeautiful bride and your Stepfather will be there with you the whole day
feel free to FM me ANYTIME xoxo

Kristy
