Re: I need advice...

I can answer a couple of your questions.

Mia costs $400 for day of, 150 for trial (total for hair and makeup) she is wonderful and worth the cost IMO, you can see my trial pics in my album. I would book a trial ASAP because she books up a year in advance.

For Bridesmaid dresses, you can try Ann Taylor or Impressions Bridal. I am a bridesmaid this summer and my friend ordered hers from Impressions and they came out to $120 before tax. Another of my friends ordered her dresses from Ann Taylor and we were able to use a coupon code that got us 20% off so they came to 150.

HTH!

thank you ladies... OMGG 400 dollars for hair and makeup, and 150 for trial>? that is insaneee lol
does she work around that price? lol

Russos on the bay is in Howard Beach, queens. But its on the belt pkwy, right before southern state, I believe its exit 17s on the belt. Theres really no places around there so i think my only options are either somewhere in Brooklyn or Long Island

First don't worry! you will get it ALL done!

Okay, I am in a wedding in october and we got the dresses from Burtons in Mellville - they can get any dress cheaper (from what I heard). The bride did not get her dress there, and we tried on the dresses at another bridal store - and just ordered the dresses from Burtons.

Hope that helps!

you'll get it all done! as for makeup....if you want a lower price I would try to go to a full service salon near you or near your rh. when you go to the salon, it is soo much cheaper, that is what i am doing and you are having a sunday evening wedding like me so there is time during the morning to go somewhere and get your makeup done....oh and all of the work that i have seen by flowers by gina is AMAZING and her prices are great. i might go with her myself if i can't find anyone closer to suffolk county that has prices as good as hers! the bridesmaids dresses that i am looking at are like 150 they are bill levkoff...i went to angel bridals in islip to see the dresses

Old Westbury Gardens is a BEAUTIFUL place for pictures. So many different gardens/areas... especially in May, you will get great flowers!!

As for BM dresses one of the girls on here recommened www.houseofbrides.com. I had found a Watters and Watters dress I loved that is normally 260 but they had it for 180!!!! So I'm going to take my girls to try on dresses and then let them order them from that site.

You're def right to be worried about traffic at that hour on a Sunday. It can be AWFUL.

OWG is absolutely GORGEOUS though. If you can budget in the time, I think it would be SO worth it.

Love OWG... and will try to get there myself...also a fellow May bride.

I am working with Gina...Flowers & Designs by Gina. She is just awesome. Easy going, creative and works with you. She's just great and definitely worth meeting. Say hi for me if you do meet her...(Christina).

M/U... I'm using Jan Visone. [email protected] / 347-245-9661.

Not sure if she is available, but she's great and reasonable. She travels to you also..She does a lot of work locally for my friends, etc. Her sister is a hair stylist with Concept Elite in Brooklyn and they sometimes work bridal parties together.
