I was thinking about making my own centerpieces. Is that a bad thing? do you think I should just let the florist do it? I want Lillys on every table. Every florist that I go to tells me how expensive lillys are and i find they talk me into getting flowers I really dont want. Im getting stressed out, so I was thinking about doing them myself. Can you tell the difference between fake and real lillys? I need advice please

Calla Lily CP's certainly can be an expensive option...but if that is what you have your heart set on, meet with multiple florists and hear what options you have. Perhaps they can suggest ways to incorporate them without the entire thing made of the most $$ flower. Is it the color or the shape that you like in particular -- take that info along with pics to meet with your prosepective florists and see what you can come up with. Also, this is just where I am -- in the floral quest so I know just what you are going through.

Which florists have you looked at. Try one that gives you wholesale prices. I'm using Burtons, they give you a set price based on how many centerpieces you need, then you choose which flowers. I'm going to be doing all peonies, even though they are expensive, its all covered in the price
