Does anyone have any experience planning a wedding at a vineyard? I really want one but know there is a lot involved.....does anyone have any pointers?

What exactly do you want to know? It depends on which vineyard because some involve more planning than others just based on the space avialable. My future sister in law got married at one a few years ago and their planning was not so bad. My fiance and I looked at almost every vineyard on LI and what it came down to was money vs. what we wanted out of our day. There were a lot of deal breakers for us with the vineyards that we looked at. Eventually we decided on a venue in the Catskills. There are also vineyard is the Hudson Valley and I found that the prices in HV were better than the LI vineyards that we considered.

I had my engagement party at Martha Clara Vineyard...the most stressful thing of my life! I do not recommend them at all. My party was lovely and we had a great time but the staff was unorganized and miscommunicated everything.
I think KKholiday just had a vineyard wedding, she could probably give you some pointers.

My friend is doing hers at the Old Fields Vineyard in Southhold. It seems like drama because you have to hire someone to do EVERY little thing, from the tent to the caterers, etc.
They really provide, the grass and the setting and thats it.
