My FH's mom died a year ago and i need to know how his father walks down the aisle. He is dancing with his godmother at the reception so does she walk down the aisle with his father or does he walk alone. Plus, my dad is walking me down the aisle so what does my mom do. I clueless as how to coordinate this. Thanks

Does FH have any sisters? If not, your FFIL can walk down with the godmother (or any other special person). My mom is being walked down by my grandfather. Your mom can be walked down by basically anyone I would say. Do you have any brothers, nephews, cousins, uncles, etc.?

or maybe you can do something non-traditional, like have his dad stand next to your FH and the best man at the front of the church? That would be an honor for him, I'm sure. And no one will have to feel awkward about the official trip down the aisle. I know it's a tough situation... so sad.

My In laws are divorced, so my mil was walked down by her son who was also the bm, and my mother was walked down by my brothers who were in the bridal party, so I am all about the siblings! Your FH father could walk down with Fh's godmother or if fh's grandparents are alive ffil could walk with one of them.
