I need an extra special way to honor my parents because....

Whild I was in FL they told me they are going to pay for the rest of the wedding for us since I am not working. They dont want me to just take any job because I need the money for the wedding. They want me to take my time and get that great career boosting job. They sent me home with a huge check and said there is more to come by Dec 1. i never expected this and am beyond greatful.

I need an extra special over the top way to honor them at my wedding. Words itself cant express how greatful I am.

Please help me out ladies......

OMG!!!!!!!!!! that is amazing!!!!! what wonderful parents that are able to do this for you!

how about making a toast at the wedding and publicly aknowledging them for all their help? in the meantime, try to find something meaningful, even something small, like a card, telling them how much all of this is appreciated. sometimes, something like that can say more than any present can!

Rev Deb is doing a flower ceremony for us during the ceremony to honor our parents. She is saying some words about their love and support and then FH and I are giving each set of parents a single flower!!!!!!! that would be nice!!!!!

Give a handkerchief, flower or small gift to your mother when you reach the altar. If you give flowers, your florist can add them to your bouquet but make them detachable.

Hold a special brunch the day after your wedding ceremony to honor your parents. Treat them as the guests of honor at the brunch and give a speech thanking them. Present a small gift to each of them.

Instead of doing a 'bouquet toss', dedicate your bouquet to your mother.I saw this at one wedding where the bride got up and gave a little speech about someone very special in her life (without mentioning who it was) and at the end she told who it was and dedicated her bouquet to her mother. It was a total surprise to everyone especially her mother. Needless to say there was NOT a dry eye in the house!

As part of your wedding program, you can include a special poem about family. Here’s an example of a special dedication to a bride and groom’s parents…
'We would like to dedicate this ceremony to our parents. They have taught us our values, and shown us how to laugh, love and appreciate all that life has to offer. Their generosity, support, and love is unending.'

Ask your Officiant to include the names of your parents or family in a special prayer. Many times family members that have recently passed away may be mentioned in a prayer, but it can also be used for anyone you want mentioned in a special way.

1) You can go to each of the parents and give them a big hug (as pictured) while the lector says a few words of thanks to the parents (written by the couple!). This can be done after you say your wedding vows, after THE KISS. There is no right or wrong way in incorporating this into your wedding ceremony. You have all creative liberties to judge when the best timing for this is!

2) To complement the hug, you may want to give each set of parents a token, either a framed photo of the couple or a bouquet of roses or anything that symbolises your loves and thank for your parents!

3) You may also choose to do this at your wedding reception as part of the program. Either bride or groom can speak on behalf of the other thanking the parents for their love and support,
