Is there a website or somewhere I can find pics of what the back of a pick up style dress should look like when bustled. My dress has a train and a the bottom beading and lace. The seamstress thinks it should be busled all the way to the mid part of my back I said NO WAY. I've never even seen that before. I need something I can show her. Thanks!!
I love it too!! mainly because there is no dress hanging behind you. .. I'm so clumsy, my biggest fear is to step back and drop to the floor.. I'm always tripping!! lol

Here's my bustle...it's 22 french bustles under and 3 on top...
This is what it looks like NOTbeing bustled...Only showing b/c I loove it soo much! LOL

it wasn't TERRIBLE but def not cheap! HAHA it only had 7 on it, so she had to add a few it was awesome

I wasnt a fan of teh pick up because it creates two pockets on teh side of the dress. Which in my opinion wasnt flattering. So i had a ribbon bustle. Which was beautiful.
I'm also worried about my bustle because my dress is so tiered in the back. I'm afraid it will look I have a major dress wedgie. I have seen some that look that!!

It should not be as high as the mid point of your back. It should never go higher than the waist. What I would suggest to you is a French bustle otherwise known as an underbustle.
While I was looking for an experienced tailor for my alterations I ran across this seamstress's site. She explains the whole thing about bustles and how the dress style will 'command' the best style of bustle. Almost too informative. A must read for all buying a dress.
