OK so many of you know I am searching for anew church I made a bunch of calls today and all of you were right, me being Lutheran is not a problem at all! My and my FI not being parishoner's at many churches is...
Here are 3 I found that stand out to me the most any feed back would be appreciated! Oh and not being a parishoner at these is cool. I am leaning towards a more cathedral style church bc that's what I had and loved at the Lutheran one.
So I called St.Patrick's in Glen Cove waiting to hear back from them...
I have a meeting on Saturday with St. Catherine of Siena in Franklin Square. Not many pics of it but Priest was very cool on the phone. Seems big and pretty...
finally
I called St.Agnes Cathedral in RVC and they said that I have to call 1 year before the date, so late August, bc they hold a year for their parishoners after that non parishinors can get married there. That place looks AMAZING!
So do I wait a month and take a chance or not?
Also any feed back on these churches?

We didnt give the father any money for our ceremony either. Actually... he didnt even tell us how much it will cost... maybe it is free!
Man I got ripped off and they changed the place on me...

I was just at St. Agnes last night and yes it is a beautiful church! With a verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry long aisle! And its true that you have to wait until a year before. Honestly I would wait but I would also book with another church....just in case. If you book with another church all you have to do is write a letter releasing that date.
Do I have to leave a deposit with one though? I left one with the lutheran church I am not using anymore. I am not sure yet whether I will get it back or not and I don't want to lose more money
Nope... I didnt have to leave a deposit at all. I wound up back at my church (St. Patricks in Smithtown) but the people at St. Agnes didnt ask me for a dime.

I am so excited St.Agnes is on Telecare every night at 6pm, I can't wait to watch mass tonight!
Yeah lol! Fr. Brennan was at St. Pats since I was little so hes always been my priest the he moved to St. Agnes. FH was watching TV and saw Fr. Brennan..so last night he was like... You're famous Fr! We always see you on TV. LOL! He was laughing so hard.

I would try to book a church asap so i wouldn't bother with the church that you have to book a year in advance

Yea I tend to agree with you, It may only be amonth but who knows. FH and I are gonna go check them all out on Saturday. He is loving St.Patrick's in Glen Cove from the pics.
