I originally wanted my colors to be a VERY VERY dark purple with a champagne sash/belt/whatever. However every purple I find looks like the color of Grimace... I don't want anything too grapey... I want something that is VERY dark.
I can never tell what something is going to look like from a swatch so has anyone seen a DARK purple?
If not then pleeeeeeease suggest a new color scheme for me!!! Something fall-ish that isn't too orangey.
I am so frustrated with colors at this point I want to throw something. Until I pick a color I can't go forward with anything!!!! I am at a planning standstill!!!

Yes! Eggplant is gorgeous! I think the whole JLM Couture designers have a great shade of eggplant.

When we were considering a fall wedding I was thinking about doing navy, a regular purple, and raspberry. Or if you still want the really dark purple try eggplant!

have you look at any jim hjelm dresses? i believe they have a dark purple....and maybe even priscilla of boston.

How much do the JLM dresses run? I hate to have them spend a lot on a BM dress... but I do love everything they make...
Maybe I can pay for part of them if they're a lot.

I'm doing eggplant and I want it to be very very dark and not grapey. I'm going with chiffon and the swatches I liked for this were called 'Eggplant' or 'Aubergine'. Bill Levkoff, Jim Hjelm, and Jordan had nice colors. Those were the only ones I looked into so far.
Another option is a dark blue! Vineyard has a really pretty dark blue. Pic attached!

Do Eggplant or Purple Haze!!! Both are great colors and I love how they look on everyone's skin tones. Eggplant is black in certain lights ( LOVE IT!) and Purple haze has a silver undertone ( my moms MOB dress is Purple Haze and its such an amazing color.)
If you do Eggplant or Purple Haze, you can do metallic accesories. Eggplant looks so CHIC with Gold, and Purple Haze looks amazing with Silver or Platnium. You can than do white with both.

Typically $200 and up. I know if you bought your dress at Bridal Reflection they give you a break on BM dresses....

im doin magenta, indigo and eggplant.. I looooove those colors together. they are very dark and its blends nice... maybe a dark indigo would be pretty for your dresses.. i loooove the dark bluish purple color.. :)

ive always said that if i was going to have a fall wedding, my colors wouldve been deep eggplant and gold accents (like for the girls strappy sandals, candalabras, etc) hth

I'm a fall bride too, my colors are gonna be peacock colors, deep blues and teals with gold accents. My FSIL (got married fall 09) did the dark eggplant color, it's gorgeous.
