You girls are right. Actually my china was pretty cheap, I have the Noritake. But I still want it to last for a while. I think I am making a big deal and getting worried for nothing. Thanks for your opinions, girls! I think I am going to use it! ;) I will let you know how my china holds up!

the only reason I dont use my moms china is that I dont want to be tied up in the kitchen hand washing! so I use my every day beautiful Naturewood..and put it in the dishwasher

Use it! It won't scratch and if it does big deal! Each scratch or tarnish will have a story behind it and remind you a a great time you shared with family and friends. Life it too short to save things for special occassions! Everyday is special!

You have to use it!!! I have my moms china. It is 42 years old and still looks brand new. I got additional place settings to bring the set to 12 and you can't tell whic are new and which are old.
It will look great and make your dinner even more perfect!

We currently live in an apartment and I am dying to get a house because I want to use my china (it is currently stored in my mother's basement).
Just think about how pretty your table is going to look!!! I'm jealous; hopefully, we'll be able to use our china next Thanksgiving!!!

When my mom cooks turkey i have never had to use a steak knife to cut it... but maybe thats not the norm...

You must use your china!!! What's the point of having it for awhile if all it does is sit in your china cabinet and collect dust?

Definately use it. My mom always took out the china for us kids on christmas and thanksgiving. Believe me if we didn't destroy it no one can. She would not allow us to wash the dishes on those night though

I used my china last year for Thanksgiving and will be using it again this year. IMO...what is the point of having it if you are not going to use it.
