FH & I have been trying to figure out a theme for our wedding, our favor is going to give us a family or a love theme (I'm not posting what they are exactly b.c. we want to keep it a surprise for our family members, in case anyone sees this post) but we're trying to figure out how to incorporate it into placecards and table names. He was thinking of something like making table names as the names of streets our family member's live on but then I would have no idea of what to do for place cards. We also love the idea of using the world 'love' in different languages for table names (like LIWer jtgarsik did) but again what kind of place cards? FH wants to also incorporate the marrying my best friend idea somehow so I was thinking of putting that quote on our programs. I'm also making our invitations so I want everything to flow. We want to do something different and creative that reflects us but we're both just stuck. Good thing everything else is booked or I'd be in way over my head!!

love from around the world...then u can incoroprate the idea of ur FH's for street names....
I love the idea of Love in different languages
u can take pictures of you guys holding a sign that says love in the languages

Why don't you have a table chart made. This way, you don't need place cards.
That's so cute!!! you should take some pics in the city by that sign that looks just like it!! I dont know the city well to know where it is but, thats me the long island girl,lol.

That's a good idea, I was thinking about using pictures too, I just know how if FH will agree to having his picture on every table.
What about a 'Home is Where The Heart Is' kinda theme? You can have some sort of quote saying that no matter where you are, your home because you are with eachother. You can have pictures of you guys at all diff places that you've been to together. It would bring in the whole 'street name' idea that your hubby had too. Maybe the table names can be neighborhoods everyone lives in..and then the placecards can have the actual street names?

i like the idea of doing love in different languages. i've seen similar ideas in my perusal of bridal websites, and i've always thought it was really neat.
