ok is this too corny for a guy to receive this.i have been battling back and forth over this gift idea..
i already got my bf mets tickets for our anniversary..now these tixs r for the friday b4 our anniversary..
then on the day of our actual anniversary which is a tuesday we r driving too montauk to walk in the village and go to the beach..
now would it b soo dumb and corny to get him one of those huge picnic 'baskets that come with all the fixings and some wine' so we can have it on the beach and have a romantic kind of lunch.. i
was also thinking of getting him that guitar book INSIDE the basket as a surprise.. is this too corny, and guys will think it is dumb??

A fairly inexpensive wine that I like is Mondavi Merlot. If you want something a little more expensive, they make some really good South African wines. Anyone who works in the liquor store will be able to help you pick something.

my only piece of advice for you is this --
i read your other post about the issues around you guys getting engaged and the sensitivity there. That being said, I wouldn't overdo it with this. The whole idea is nice, but if the engagement issue is too fresh and some awkwardness is still present, then your plan may come off as a way to guilt him into engagement.
In other words, make it clear that you don't expect anything in return for your kind gesture.
