I need help

I need help

Picking a gift for my boss..it's come down to 2 things. Both are wraps. Here are the pics.

She's a high powered exec and dresses very conservatively but is in her mid 40s and really cool. She's also always cold so I know either would be a good gift. The dilemma is that the first one is made of silk and cashmere and the second is acrylic but is really nice (i have it) and sit's on your shoulders before you through it across for the wrap part. What's bugging me is that I know getting something that's silk and cashmere is nicer but the other one is nice and big and probably less of a PIA. It's really nice and I love mine, but this is a gift for someone who has everything..I don't want it to seem cheap even though it's the same price. These would probably not be the colors.

i think the first one because she could work in it where as the second looks more like for outside.

good point...

...but maybe she would wear it outside if the weather was warmer instead of a coat. Or, she could wear it on top of her coat because she's always cold. See my dilemma? I'm driving myself crazy...

I understand your dilemma, I think the 1st one will not be very comfortable to wear inside because it is just placed on the your shoulders. The second one looks like it will stay but maybe be a little too heavy and long for indoor use. I guess I would say the first one.

The second one is bigger and longer but it's so soft and flowy..I have it on now (too cheap to put on the heat)

Tough choice. For a boss I'd prob go with the more impressive material. Tho if you really feel it isn't as functional get #2! You can't go wrong!

I would say 1 only cause it is the more expensive fabric.

altho i'm merely 29 years of age, i dress fairly conservatively in comparison to my close friends (at least) and i would choose number 1 only for its luxe material. the sharp fuchia color, altho beautiful, may be for more of a nicer occasion such as an evening dinner out. the pink one is definitely much more conservative.

is fushia the only color offered in the luxe fabric? colors like peach, sky blue and blue that i can think of are also very nice colors that should do well for an executive.

good luck with your final decision. in the end, a shawl is a very nice gift.

Thanks for your reponses..get this:

Went to Bloomies and they had the shawl (1st one)..it was more impressive in the picture. It was also twice the price!

They said it would be cheaper in the catolog or online. So, I can order it online and then get a box from bloomies..what a PIA!

Also, it comes in lots of colors, the fuscia was not an option for her.
