Ok, so im not against religion, im just not a regular, so I was hoping someone could lend some knowledge my way.
FI and I were raised different religions. We were not planning on getting married in RC church (although we havent found a place yet so who knows) but FI is worried that if we dont get married in a church we cannot do certain things with our children (which we do not have) such as baptism, communion, conformation etc.
Does anyone know about this stuff?

Re: I need help
You might want to contact the church most make who ever isnt of that religion convert or you can just have a ceremony, But usually if you agree to raise your children catholic they dont mind. But really call around to some churches.

Re: I need help
one does not have to do with the other, if your not married in a church, you can still baptise your children. however example: if your catholic and fh is jewish and you decide to raise the children catholic, when you baptise them, fh must sign some paper that states the children will be raised catholic not jewish.

I am taking classes to do my confirmation. And I know recently our priest discussed some of things you are questioning.
