I want to go to the GTG, but I want FH to come, what can I do to get him to go ? HELP!!!! He threw the we can't afford it at me.... I need a comeback.

usually when I need to convince FI I tell him I'll buy him a drink and lots of them
then he usually has a comeback that I have alteriateive motives and laughs at me
how about telling him how there will be other guys there he can hang with and there are going to be lots of prizes given away which will help with the wedding

You could just come and hang out with those of us whose FH's don't want to come! I'm not bringing mine, it'd make him miserable. He's shy to begin with-plus our budget is tight too!
