I need help...

I booked my bach. party to Vegas on 12/31/09. We're arriving on Thursday at 1:00 PM and leaving on Saturday at noon. I know it's not as long as I'd like to be away for, but I was trying to save everyone some money and make it a short and sweet trip. Well, they're not happy. So I tried to call Expedia to see if I could add a day to the trip. I figured there'd be some fee and an extra night at the hotel, but I was willing to pay the extra cash and call it part of their gift. Well I just got off the phone with Expedia and they told me that US Airways wants to charge us $150 per person to switch the flight!

There's no way around this is there? I pretty much have to **** it up and eat the $600 or just leave on Saturday when we're supposed to?

since your bm's are not happy tell them that it will be an extra $150 per person. if they are willing to pay it then extend it. if not then keep it as is. don't spend the extra money on them because they are unhappy.

That's true. If it was even $50 a person, I'd be happy to pay for it out of pocket and keep the peace, but I just can't swing $600. That's double what the trip originally cost!

wow, i can't believe they want to charge you so much for cancelling the flight. is that only because later flights are more expensive? would it be the same price to change the flight to monday afternoon?

i would talk to the girls directly ... tell them that they are welcome to stay extra time but they have to shell out the $150 ... but if they don't want to, then they can go home as currently scheduled (no hard feelings)

It's $150 per person + the difference in price for a Sunday flight. But they are all pretty much the same price so we wouldn't have to pay much extra or any at all.

They won't be able to afford the extra $150, I know for sure. I know I'm just going to feel guilty over it. It s*cks! I know I probably shouldn't, but I will.
