i need help choosing... Watermill vs. Marina Del Rey

Hey everyone!

I'm new to this site so bare with me.. :)

ok so me and my fiance (still getting used to calling him that!) went to about 10 halls in the past week and we narrowed it down to Marina del Rey in the bronx and The Watermill in smithtown.

They both are very different. One has the water view while the other gas a nice garden. Can someone help me decide?!?!

And do both of these places have good food?

Thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!

I've never been to either, but I just wanted to say welcome and congratulations!

I'm sure the ladies on here will help you out - with this and everything else! It's kind of slow today though.

Good luck and happy planning!

welcome and congrats.

I've never been to the watermill but I know Marina Del Ray throws a great party. I'm going to another wedding there in Aug. Cocktail hour is on the boat in the water. I've had friends have steel bands at the cocktail hour. Everyone always raves about weddings there.

You have to consider do you want a city/water wedding or a long island garden wedding. What is easier for everyone to get to? things like that might help.

Marina Del Rey is known for their food....I have never been to Watermill so I cant say but I have heard great things. These two places are very different styles...I think it comes down do whether you prefer the view or you want the garden....

Never been to watermill...but ofcourse I would say MDL lol ... service excellent, food phenomenal, the rooms are so pretty, the water view with the bridges is so nice...but at the end its your call, see who is giving more for your money

I've only been to a wedding at Marina Del Rey so far, and it was very nice and pretty. But I am going to a wedding at the Watermill in September. So of course then I could probably comment on this better. But I've heard great things about the Watermill, and it looks so pretty.

So both are great places!

Considering you seem to like both so equally, I would say to focus on the price, and what is more convenient for you or others to get to, in helping to decide.
