I feel like I have exhausted monster.com, hotjobs.com .. nytimes online & careerbuilders.....
Are there any other services I've missed?
I am trying to get into media planning/buying if that helps.

I know how hard it is. JT is having a REALLY ROUGH time finding a job. He's in film/tv. He wants to be an editor for commercials and what not. Very hard to find jobs in that. Hence the fact that he is doing ABA therapy and loathing every second of it Hang in there, something will come when you least expect it. I will keep my eyes peeled!

I can't even find THAT!
But I have faith......
Editing is tough......my cousin is doing that...he had to move to L.A. to get a decent job, but he was there for 3 years & is now back in NY

at an ad agency? or new station?
have you tried just emailing your resume' directly to the companies and their HR depts. That is usually all I do and it has always worked for me.

Do you have any prior experience in this? My MOH is now marketing director at KitchenAid (loves it and makes great $$$$, but had to move to Michigan), and was a director at Saatchi and Saatchi in NYC before that. She sent in samples of her portfolio (hers was very impressive) to several ad agencies and was offered jobs on the spot. Does your college have any alumni services? The college that we went to hooked you up with alumni in our field, who were very receptive to hiring other alums from our program...

Thanks gals....to answer your questions. Limited experience, yes my college has a career/COACH center, but a rather unhelpful one, and yes, I have sent my resumes to agencies in LI & Queens, but not Manhattan yet (there are soooo many!)
I am just frustrated b/c I went back to school b/c I was told that i had a good background, but I needed a degree to get my foot in the door. Now with the state of the economy, all I am getting offers for in unpaid internships, and to get my foot in the door I need the degree and at least 1-2 years experience. I am wondering how to get experience if I have to have experience to get hired
It is just a little scary b/c I chose to not get new job after the wedding, so we are at the point where we may need to dip into savings to pay the biils

you shoudl get a headhunter in the city that is specific to media buying/planning. there are plenty! also try www.mediabistro.com www.adage.com as well as specific sites for companies like www.mtvnjobs.com.
