...I am about to throw in the towel and register for paper plates! I can't find casual china I like. If anyone registered or has seen nice casual china that is a solid color and has a decent size mug, please post a pic and where you got/found it. I like plain. Even if you registered for a SIMPLE print, please post it. Thanks! I don't know why this is such a problem.

Re: I need help finding casual china
I looked high and low for something nutral b/c we don't have a house yet. We got the Mikasa Newport Mist.. It's a 5 peice set, but I registered for the larger mug b/c I love a large cup of coffee... The larger mug is in the second pic...
the first one is the ont that i own-ts Noritake Suede - from Macys- the place setting is $29.99. My mom got it for me for an engagement gift and its great- its very neutral and matches my decor.
The rest of the pictures are settings from Target- they have beautiful things.. I picked out a few that I love but I dont know your decor so its hard to give suggestions. MY next post is all target stuff as well
We're in the same boat.I want something neutral, but not super plain. I want something with a color - but no one so trendy that it might be 'out' in three years. I am having a hard time finding anything that fits the bill!
We're going to crate and barrel to look next week!

My FH and I went to Tanger 2 weeks ago to see what there was and we found a lot of casual kitchen china we liked at Corningware/Corelle. Try heading to that store or check corelle out online at this link: Corelle

Re: I need help finding casual china
we registered for the margo dishes from crate and barrel...great coffee cups and cereal bowls... its a plain french vanilla
I think Crate and Barrell is a great place to look. they have a lot of simple designs. Here's mine, its porcelin, and the only place settings we're registering for, since I collect antique china.
i picked solid white - i can't figure out how to paste the picture from the Fortunoff site, but its called Aurora - I really liked the shapes. Squareish salad & dinner plate and an interesting shaped soup bowl. There's something else called Strawberry lane or something, the serving bowls match the aurora dinnerware. Dinnerware is $19.99 for a four-piece set. I also got some Kate Spade serving pieces - gramercy park. It's white and has some color mixed in. I love the two together!
