a situation has arised and my friend needs to move up her wedding to april of this year. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE offer suggestions in re: to halls. anyone know of a cancellation, available dates? friday, sat and sunday are all possiblilities.

Actually, Have her call Ellen at the Meadow Club. SHe is a FREE Bridal Planner. Really nice. She gets paid if people use the vendors she books.
Tell her Your situation. I am sure she can help you all out. She has vendors for every price range.

Wow, she's cutting it close. If it's not a big wedding, has she looked into restaurants with private dining rooms?

It's a stretch but try teh Mileridge carriage hosue. Its smaller & used for other parties bedsides weddigns, so they don't always book so far in advance. You could also try a room in the restaurant, the Milleridge Inn. How big a wedding is she planning?
Would she consider a civil ceremony & a reception when he returns?

My cousin was able to get the Coral House on Short notice and the price went down a lot. Try there.

I think her best bet is to figure out her budget and then go down the list of the wedding sites and services website.

bumping for the morning crew. she orginally booked the hamlet for august (gives you an idea on budget). i am going to call a few places this morning for her.
I would tell her to go down the list of catering halls on LI and see which ones are available and then go from there. If budget is not a problem, then she should be able to find something qucikly. Not every hall is booked every weekend.

How much the Hamlet charge pp??? Where is she located. Why doesn't she just call around and find out which dates at the halls she wants are open? We can suggest but if they are booked, they are just booked. Sorry I am not much more help.good luck to her, i also move my wedding up so i know the anxiety

i just called east wind and they do have dates. he wouldn't give me the dates available because he said there were several and i didn't know which room she wanted.
hamlet manager wil be in at 11:00. she (friend) y doesn't know i am calling around for her. i wanted to get info first and then let her follow-up. she is sooo overwhlemed right now.
not sure $pp at the hamlet, but i think it is over $100. she will probably get a break since it is unforeseen circumstances and short notice.

Try Timber Point....they just re-did it and I don't think it's one of the 'more well known' halls.
