I'm so suprised you're having such a hard time with the hotel situation-since it's so far in advance. I am getting married at the E.W. also. We are having 320 guests and almost all of them are staying out there. They already booked most of the E.W rooms (whatever wasn't already taken) and we blocked 30 rooms at the Best Western. I know there are some bed and breakfasts out there but I think they might be a little pricey. I'll look through all my hotel information that I got when I first booked but I can't think of any hotels around there that you haven't already mentioned. I'll also ask my friend who got married out there last year-pretty much everyone in her wedding got a hotel room out there also.

The Hampton Inn that you tried is that the Brookhaven Hampton Inn? If not there is the Brookhaven Hampton Inn, HOliday Inn Express, Radisson -- they are all around exit 63 off the LIE. They aren't far from EW but not right up the road either.
July is a tough time. Good luck!

Yeah, we felt the same way. Neither one of us felt comfortable blocking rooms because they wanted us (as you said) to put the deposit down for each. And they don't credit your account until the day of-which means that even if someone books a room that you have blocked and pays the deposit, you still won't be credited until the day of. We just included info in our STD cards. And we spread through word of mouth that EW is first come first serve but that we blocked rooms at the Best Western. Here is a link I found with hotel information in that area... I hope it helps! If I think of anything else, I'll FM you. Copy and paste this- a whole list of hotels in that area will come up. http://www.travelforecaster.com/find_hotels/wading_river/ny/usa/

The hotels wanted you to put a deposit down for each room or E.W.? I have never heard of that before and I do hotel blocks on a daily basis for work.

There is the Courtyard Marriott at Exit 60
Residence Inn at Exit 62
Hampton Inn at Exit 57
Hyatt WindWatch on Vets Hwy
Hilton Garden Inn at McArthur Airport
None of these are THAT close...maybe 30 min away

I am from Wading River, getting married at St Johns in WR, reception at Hamlet Willow Creek in Mt Sinai, we're using the Hampton Inn & Radisson MacArthur Airport....both hotels are about 30 min away from WR, so really not too bad. Just beware of traffic depending on what time of day guests are travelling to East Wind--25A can get quite congested coming off of the Wllm Floyd. Good luck!!

There is also the Best Western East End which is right by the outlets. I've never been there so I don't know what it is like.

The East Wind did. The other hotel (best western) only had us sign a contract that we wanted to block but required no money down at all.
