I'm freaking out. I'm getting married 4/1/06 at the FH. It's a daytime wedding that ends at 5. My guests are staying at the executive inn down the block. My problem....I need a place for everyone to go to after the wedding bar/restuarant. I thought we could use the Bar at the FH but that doesn't look like it's going to happen. I still need to speak with Dave, my banquet manager, but when I spoke with the bar/rest. themselves, they said probably not b/c of cocktail hours and so forth. The executive inn does not have a bar, so that's out of the question. I am having a TON of OOT guests too. I also don't want to have to feel responsible for renting a room or space somewhere when we are spending so much money on the wedding as it is. My mom said she would rent a tent for the backyard and stuff, but that is way too much for my parents. I want them to enjoy the wedding and not have to worry about guests coming back to their house afterwards.
OK, so I'm completely freakin out right now. What the heck am I going to do?

what about the restaurant at Fox Hollow, can they accomodate? Or how about the hotel itself at Fox Hollow?

Re: I need help ladies
how about going to the Huntington Hilton after and commandeering their bar? You won't have to rent out a room and people can just go there and hang out with you guys after or not if they choose to.

Why do you feel the need to entertain your guests more than what they are already receiving?

Christine, I know, I agree, I absolutely agree. A part of me is like...OK these people are coming to an amazing wedding at an amazing place. Some people, I know, have never been to a wedding like this before, especially most of my guests coming from Georgia. I guess I just want to be able to give people options, ya know. Plus, I'm staying at the executive inn also, and I'd like a place to go after the wedding too.
I don't plan on the party stopping for me and FI at 5 either....haha. I'm a party girl sista! haha.

I gotcha doll...don't stress yourself out...don't plan anything...pick a bar/lounge that's in the area (obviously why you asked for help) and after the wedding, announce it if they'd like to continue the party...we'll be at XXX....
You never know how you'll feel after the wedding...you might be exhausted!

This sounds like a job for....The Best Man. Have him do some research on places close by. Maybe he can negotiate a good deal with a bar that's close by.

I agree..give the job to someone else...but if you do get this going-make sure you announce it at the party before everyone leaves.
