I need help Ladies

Original post by JennylovesStephen

OK so I picked out dresses and I was ordering them in black( i was going to change the flowers on the dress to white) But last night FH says I dont like the black how boring and blah blah blah I got so aggravated with him. He really likes the sage which was orignally my first choice so now IDK what to do should I change it???

I kinda agree with your FH! I don't like black for BM's. i would do eig=the rsage or eggplant! If you are going to do vibrant purple flowers I would go sage. then you get both colors and the purple you really want to stand out is in beautiful flowers!!!

I LOVE the eggplant!! I know its annoying when FH doesn't agree with your choices....but they don't always undertand the whole vision you have in your mind. If you love the black and want the black- then go for it! The day of Im sure it will be the last thing FH comments on!!

I really like the eggplant colors. I think it depends on you color scheme... are you going for a more softer tone? If yes, then I would go with the sage.

The sage and eggplant are so pretty, and I agree with the comment that black may blend with the guests (though I LOVE the dress in black).

You could do the sage -- your original first choice, your fiance likes it, and then you can do black accents in the flower to get at the damask theme. Done!

For example, see the sixth image here.

I gotta go with the eggplant 'cause I'm in luv with that color and I'm using it for my BMs as well!

I like the black, then you could do the white flowers, and to give it a punch of color, pick out a ribbon from a trim shop to wrap the bouquet stems in (you could even still do the hot pink!) I have bought hand dyed silk ribbon to give the florist so it's not just the standard colors they use, plus it matches the accents in my wedding.
