I need help on reasonable receptions with ceremony areas
Chris and I just started planning our wedding... Finally Yea! What we need help with most right now is reception places that also have places for ceremonies at a reasonable price. We can't really go any higher than $60 a person and lower would probably be better. Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!

Re: I need help on reasonable receptions with ceremony areas
Thats going to be hard on LI....We choose a Friday in March to save money and we are paying $69 per person at Watermill ( has ceremony location) but after taxes and all that good stuu it is about $84-$85 pp....The onle places cheaper were Stewat Manor CC, Manor East, Mediterian( sp?) Manor and The Coral House...and they were only cheaper by a few dollars...lowest was $59 before tax, but the venus's werent as nice...
Give us ideas of where you want it, things you want like one wedding at a time, by the water...time of year and how many people and we can better help...

I know its a little over what you want, but Chateau La Mer on a Friday night runs about $70 or so... and its beautiful
Oh and I don't know the exact price, but the Brentwood Country Club usually has some combo package that includes EVERYTHING (DJ, flowers, etc) that is pretty reasonable. I went to a wedding there- it was no worse than anywhere else
Good luck!

Check out Sunset Harbour in Patchogue. Very nice, affordable and the food's really good!! It's on the water too. It would definitely fit into your budget!

Re: I need help on reasonable receptions with ceremony areas
Thank you for all the suggestions already! If it helps we are only having around 60 people mostly family. A small amount but we don't have much to work with in the money department. And of course nothing is cheap on the Island.

Try Manor East, swan club, leonards, coral house, chateau la mer. Im not sure about minimums but they seemed reasonable to me. Your best bet is a friday or sunday night. You can also try saturday afternoon.

George Washington Manor would probably be in your price range too. They have a bunch of different rooms, so I'm sure they'd have one right for your number of people. And they have a separate building where the ceremonies are held. It's a different feel from most other reception venues, if that's something that might appeal to you (it's a remodeled inn from colonial times).

Thank you for all your help. I was getting so discouraged with what little I was finding. I really appreciate the help and support.
