I met with a florist yesterday and she was WONDERFUL and REASONABLE for all I'm getting. My biggest issue is spending all the money(I have a HUGE BP and A LOT of guests, so lots of centerpiecse) and the flowers getting thrown away a few days later....i'm really thinking of doing silk. People can keep them, they won't die, and they're cheaper. I want good quality of course...anyone buy from anyone online??? I found some good sites, just nervous. Anyone know of someone local in Suffolk who uses silk flowers? Please help!! I have just a few weeks left. I was going to do it myself, but realized it's too much work, so I just decided this week to have someone make it for me...let me know! Thanks girls!!!!

I think candle CPs are better than silk and cheap-----JMO!

My FMIL made my silk CPs (pics in album) and they really are so beautiful. I wanted real, and then she just went and made them one day, so I went along with it. And now I'm glad she did them. People can keep them, I can keep one, they don't look cheap at all, and I'm not wasting a ton of money on flowers that are going to die. She went to AC Moore and the floral designer they have on staff there helped her coordinate the colors and what not.
You can also do candles like someone else said. My cousin had a beautiful metal tree like thing with a birdcage and candles hanging from it and they were truly breathtaking. Good luck!

You girls are so sweet and what great ideas!! I really like the candle idea...I'm going to look into that.
