HEy girls ok I have search for the perfect song for my father and I and I cant find one .. My dad and I don't have the closest relationship,but it has gotten better over the years I know growing up he was not around a lot ( parents got divorced) It seems like every song speaks about stuff growing up and it just does not fit Can you guys help Thanks

well hello date twin! FH's brother just got married this past june, and his wife and her father danced to 'My Girl' by the Temptations. I thought it was really different, but still nice. I actually might ask her if i can borrow it. I don't think its too mushy. Just an idea

I'm in a similar situation and I was thinking of 'The way you look tonight', Frank Sinatra. It's a beautiful song and it's more 'present' then 'past'. HTH

A friend of mine had a VERY similiar situation and danced to 'Teach your Children Well' - Crosby Stills and maybe Nash...it was great...plus I LOVE unique wedding music...after working in catering for years...I've heard just about everything...5 weddings a weekend for 4 years...

I love the song 'isn't she lovely' by stevie wonder...Ive been to weddings and seen daughters use this for a father they werent that close to and parents were divorced. Plus its a little more upbeat so works out better
