You can hear a bit of it on amazon.com or perhaps itunes.

hmmm I would just search online

I few different ones that I have heard at wedding include

Iris- goo goo dolls (the acoustic version)

Madonna- crazy for you

Those two stick out because they are different the the norm.. wha are you looking for in the song?

Mine is 'heaven' by Bryan adams
another good one by him is 'always be right there'

Your song -elton jon
its your love- tim mcraw and faith hill
'Ill be there for you'- bon jovi

I dunno I am trying to think of different songs and a variety

If you love the lyrics to the song your FSIL used why dont you see if another artist sings the same song and use that version?

do you have 'your song' like a song you always dance to when you hear it, or something special you both sing along to?

we are using amazed . it was 'our song' from when we first started dating...

good luck- there are plenty out there, dont worry it will come to you

our wedding song is definitely not the usual song, as you said it.

my FH found it and I loved it the second he suggested it. it's called 'More than Love' by Los Lonely Boys.

I'm with you on not wanting a 'traditional' wedding song.

Here are some of my 'alternative' wedding song favs. I don't think my guy is going to go for any of them though... Some of them are a little kooky.

Better Together- Jack Johnson
Yellow- Coldplay
Meet Me by the Water- Rachael Yamagata
Closer- Dido
Never Tear Us Apart- INXS
Feels like Home- Chantal Kreviazuk (I know this is a popular one)
Such Great Heights- Iron And Wine
Come Away With Me- Norah Jones
Banana Pancakes- Jack Johnson
Luna- Smashing Pumpkins
Answer- Sarah McLachlan

And this is the best site I have found for lyrics:

A-Z lyrics

Watch out for the pop ups.

What about 'Come Away with Me' by Norah Jones? She has a tori amos kind of voice.

That's our song too!!!!!

Try going here and you can search by artist and find a song you like. I don't think you can listen but you can read the words.

This is the song that I am using. Definately not traditional and every single word reminds us of each other.

Here is the link (number 7) http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B00009WHS1/qid=1117744666/sr=8-1/ref=pd_csp_1/002-2852680-4195265?v=glance&s=music&n=507846
