I need input

I need input

I have a dilemma, I already picked out my bridesmaid dresses which are chocoloate, FH told me that he wants the GM to wear silver/gray vests under their tuxedos. I dont think that is going to go with my girls dresses. I dont want to change my girls dresses and he just said to me ' I don't ask for much' which is true so I am torn on what to do???? Someone help me please.

well I think you both have to come to an agreement with the chocolate or silver ~ i am not sure if the chocolate and silver would go... unless they have a chocolatey and silver blend vest.... bring a swatch of the color dress to the tux place and see how it goes....

good luck!

i agree .... i don't think that would go well together, and that seems (to me) like an odd thing for your FH to be stuck on ...

So, when you say 'pick out' does that mean ordered or just picked out? Is there any possibility of changing your color to something closer to match his vests? I think I'd win this one though if this were me and my hubby and my argument would be that the guys have jackets to put over their vests and that you wont' notice their vests as much as you'd notice the girls dresses. Hope this helps!

Re: I need input

Would he consider doing a silver & blk vest. I think it will look fine since silver is a neutral color and besides it's what we had
We only had a MOH & BM with flower girls & ring bearers. MOH was in brown BM was in blk tux with silver & blk vest. Flowergirls were in Ivory to match my dress and the ringbearers were in the same tux as the BM.
Don't stress it. There are so many styles out there I'm sure you come to an agreement

I would say to work on finding a mutual agreement. Can you stick with the same dress diffrent color to match wht your FH likes?

i agree with this to a certain point....but throughout the night guys take off their jacket so the vest would be noticed just as much as the dresses i think

how about having your girls hold white flowers with silver ribbons? That would match brown dresses and would sorda match them with the groomsmen.

I personally don't think it will look bad together. Both are low-key and neutral colors. It's not like the vests are blue, and the gowns are hot pink.

Then again, for my taste, everything matching so perfectly can be a bit over the top at times. To me, it looks more natural to have a mix of complementary colors rather than a repetition of one color throughout the day....

UPDATE!!!! Re: I need input

Thanks girls for all of your advise on my dress issue, this morning I went to Macys bridal and saw another dress in black and silver that I love and when I spoke to my MOH she said she would like that better than the chocolate I also found my flowergirls dress in black and white. So I am happy that this happened because I found dresses that I love and now everyone is happy. I know I dont post on here alot but you girls are great and I appreciate all of your help, I am so glad that I found LIW.
