My uncle was crossing hempstead turnpike yesterday after getting a haircut and was struck by a speeding car and was killed instantly. The driver walked away with a speeding ticket while my uncle lost his life. He was 77 years old and people may think it aint so bad then, but he was still working and still a firefighter with absolutely no medical problems. He was not ready to die! I am sorry

i am so sorry...i hate hempstead tpk...my sister in law was killed in a car accident on hempstead tpk last year by two assholes who were speeding

omg.....thats terrible. I cant believe that the guy just gets a ticket and is free to go.....my prayers are with you and your family. so sorry to hear such terrible news.

Sheri I'm so sorry for you loss! All the guy got was a speeding ticket!!

I am so sorry to hear what happened - That is terrible. My sister was in a car accident today with my 2 young nephews in the car with her (they are 3 and 5) the car is totalled but thankfully they just have some bruises

My point is, do not take anything for granted
Tell the people you love that you love them everyday
Spend time with your loved ones and take care of each other
